Life after I "retire"

It is awkward to say that I am retiring at age 39. Yes, I will have completed 20 years in the Navy and, therefore, I will be retiring. However, I will not be done with my missions in life.
I will be a stay at home mom.
I will be a homeschooling mom.
I will be a homeschooling mom, wife of a Sailor, home business running, retiree.
I will be a homeschooling mom, wife of a Sailor, home business running, retiree, health and life coach.
I will be a homeschooling mom, wife of a Sailor, home business running, retiree, health and life coach, international mission trip going woman.
let me re-read this.
No.
I won't stay at home.
I will be out.
I will be out and about.
I will be out and about, teaching and learning.
I will be out and about, teaching and learning. Coaching and seeking.
I will be out and about, teaching and learning. Coaching and seeking. Serving and earning.
I will be out and about, teaching and learning. Coaching and seeking. Serving and earning.
I will be out and about, teaching and learning. Coaching and seeking. Serving and earning. Loving and living.
Hm.
I think I will like this retirement thing.

A STORY ABOUT MY KITCHEN SINK: Picture a kitchen sink with two sides. Each side has a drain. Typically each drain would have a pipe that runs down and the two pipes would meet underneath the sink to connect and form one bigger pipe that drains to the ocean just like in 'Finding Nemo'. Fireworks

Most weeks fly by. We have our routine and things just happen. I like to plan weekend trips out in full and know exactly what is happening when. But, when my husband is worried about his grandmother, we go to Kentucky on a whim. That is exactly what happened last Thursday. We received word that Joe's grandmother had a fall and broke her knee cap and was simply downtrodden. (I just used downtrodden in a sentence...hope I used it correctly). So away we went! We chose to stay at a KOA nearby so that we were not in anyone's way with our last minute visit. It also gave the girls a mini vacation, as well. We stayed in a primitive cabin, swam in the pool, hiked the nature trails and enjoyed being together. For a few moments, time slowed down.
